Amazon Prime Video took to Instagram on Monday and announced the digital premiere of the re- cently released film. They wrote,”@TheJohnAbrahamv/s @emraanhashmi Whose side are you on? The chase begins tonight, watch #MumbaiSagaOnPrime.” Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film features an en- semble star cast including John and Emraan in the lead alongside Mahesh Manjrekar, Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Rohit Roy, Amole Gupte, Samir Soni, Gulshan Grover, and Anjana Sukhani. Mumbai Saga is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anuradha Gupta, and Sangeeta Ahir. The plot of the film chronicles a fictional story of the duel between Amartya Rao (John Abraham) and Senior Inspector Vijay Sawarkar (Emraan Hashmi) that explores different tangents of hopes, aspirations, friendships and betrayals against the backdrop of Mumbai in the early 90s. However, ‘Mumbai Saga ‘is a tale of the Bombay that it was and the Mumbai that it became. Talking about the digital release of the film, the ‘Force’ actor said, “The movie released in cinema halls this March and I am delighted with the response from fans who watched the movie. Rajan Mishra was 70 when he breathed his last at the St. Stephen’s Hospital in Delhi, confirmed his family member. Rajan Mishra was a famous classical singer from ‘Banaras Gharana’ of India. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in the field of art in 2007. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to con- dole his demise and said: “Have been extremely saddened by the death of Pandit Rajan Mishra ji who left his indel- ible mark in the world of classical singing. The passing away of Mishra ji, who was associated with Banaras Gha- rana, is an irreparable loss to the art and music world. My condolences to him in this hour of grief.
