A
fter “24” and “Modern
Family”, Bollywood actor-
producer Anil Kapoor has
now acquired the rights of anoth-
er American TV series “Prison
Break”. “I always go with my gut
feeling. I know people will like it.
We will adapt it to suit Indian sen-
sibilities. It’s one of my most fau-
torite shows. I am truly excited,”
Anil said in a statement.
“Prison Break”, which is now
gearing up for its fifth season,
revolves around two brothers. One
has been sentenced to death for a
crime he did not commit while
the other devises an elaborate
plan to help him escape and clear
his name.
Sharing more about the show,
Anil said: “The show is about sib-
ling love. It has just the right
amount of emotions and of
course some mind blowing action.
In the past, films like ‘Do Aankhen
Barah Haath’ and ‘Umar Qaid’,
which revolved around jailbreak,
have been appreciated by the
audience.”
Anil is currently busy shooting
for the second instalment of “24”.
Will he be a part of “Prison
Break”?
“I’d love to be a part of the
show but my entire focus is on ‘24’
right now. Doing two shows won’t
be possible but whoever comes on
board has to be physically fit. I
have a few names in mind. We will
begin casting soon. It will be made
on the same scale as ‘24’.”
Anil’s production house has
bought the rights to season one of
“Prison Break”. Season two will be
underway only after feedback to
the first part is in. “We’ll start
planning the show as soon as I
wrap up shooting for ‘24’. I want to
take it on the floors as soon as
possible,” he added...

P
opular faces of small
screen like Sunil
Grover, Gaurav Gera
and Krushna Abhishek have
portrayed female characters
in front of the camera. Actor
Sandeep Anand says its not
an easy task.
Sandeep, who currently
plays the role of Sajan in
“May I come in Madam?”,
will next be seen donning a
female avatar to become
Shanta Lopez in the popular
TV show.
“They (the makers) have
made me a woman before
this also. I feel the two hot
actresses (Neha Pendse and
Sapna Sikarwar) don’t bring
as much glamour in the
show as I do.
“I have observed several
domestic helps go about
their chores, and that helped
me pull off the character,”
Sandeep said in a statement.
Though he added that “it’s
not easy to become a girl or
woman”.
“The response on the set
was fantastic. My fautorite
woman disguise character
from Bollywood is Kamal
Hassan from ‘Chachi 420’
and according to me so far
no one has done it so beauti-
fully,” Sandeep said.
“May I come in Madam?”
is aired on Life OK.

Kapil Sharma’s Show Is The Best: Mika
–MUMBAI
K
eeping competition aside,
Bollywood singer Mika
Singh, who is part of
“Comedy Nights Live”, lauded
comedian-actor Kapil Sharma,
calling his recently launched TV
show “The Kapil Sharma Show”
the ‘best’.
Mika shot for the episode of the
Sony Entertainment Television
show on Friday night along with
West Indies star cricketer Chris
Gayle and singer Kanika Kapoor.
“You all know that I am Kapil’s
brother. I am a big fan of his show
and his timing as well. I have met
him after a long time because
three-four songs of mine have
been launched. And the best way
to promote the songs is through
the best show -- ‘The Kapil Sharma
Show’,” Mika said.
Kapil came into the limelight
through Colors show “Comedy
NightsWith Kapil” but the show
was replaced by “Comedy Nights
Live” after the ace comedian had a
falling out with Colors channel
officials due to various reasons.
And Mika became a part of
“Comedy Nights Live”.
When asked about how he
decided to come to a ‘rival’ show,
Mika said: “Shows keep going on.”
He said: “But our bond has
been there for the past 10 years.
He loves Daler paaji (Mehndi) and
I love him... It is good that both
shows are working. Paaji’s show is
going number one, I’ve come on
his show; what could be bigger
than that.”
